Weather
March in the Philippines is hot and plenty of sunshine, marking the end of the dry season with temperatures averaging 26-34°C/79-93°F. The weather is ideal for outdoor, sports and beach activities, requiring light clothing and hydration as heat builds towards April. Expect daytime highs in the low 30s°C (80s-90s°F), minimal rain, with cooler nights around 23-25°C (73-78°F).
Power Supply
The standard voltage is 220 V at a frequency of 60 Hz. Yes, you need a power plug travel adapter for sockets type A and C in the Philippines. Devices from North America (110-120V) need a voltage converter, while European/AU devices (220-240V) need plug adapters but not usually voltage converters. Always check your device’s label for dual voltage (“110-240V”) and consider a universal adapter for convenience. Hotels may offer universal adapters but best to bring one for your multiple devices.
Internet and WiFi
For internet in the Philippines, foreign visitors can use free Wi-Fi in hotels and commercial spaces with connectivity but best to buy a local SIM card, get an eSIM (convenient), rent a Pocket WiFi (portable hotspot), or rely on international roaming from your own telco. Popular providers are Globe and Smart.
